Ashley Paschke

Ashley is an avid maker who loves working with her hands. Her venture in all natural products began four years ago when she was introduced to Essential Oils and handcrafted soap. After starting Reclaimed A Candle Company, her interest in all natural products began to grow. A little soy candle company helped drive her towards a larger dream of a brand that would include natural products that are safe for the body and whole family. Ashley now owns and operates The Post Home and Body in downtown Scranton.

Samantha Nardelli

Samantha is the founder and creative director of Shanty Town Design. She has a deep appreciation for small business and creatives alike. She uses her keen eye for detail to implement branding and marketing strategies that are consistent with her clients’ identity. Since 2009, Samantha has strived to bring out the beauty and sharpness in everything she has had a chance to work on. She is invested in the Downtown Scranton Arts and Culture scene, working with several festivals, galleries and social hubs.

Maggie Calpin

A bit colorful, chatty cathy, small business lover, dog rescuer, and a go getter. Growing up in the town of Dunmore, Pennsylvania, Maggie loved anything pertaining to creativity & imagination: projects at school, piano, voice, & art lessons, even making fortresses in the backyard. If she could dream it, she would at least try to do it. At age 24, Maggie was a full-time cosmetologist & college student looking to open her very own spa. Like most things life, timing is everything. Right before college graduation, Maggie heard of an adorable shop called Nibbles & Bits being for sale. Maggie listened to her voice inside & reminisced working at Nibbles & Bits during beauty school. She knew this was her calling. August 2009, Maggie purchased Nibbles & Bits and began her creative journey into the sweet world of gift baskets, bows, & chocolates. Nearly 7 years later and Maggie still loves it as much as she did the first day.

Lindsay Colan

Lindsay has a strong love for small business. Born & raised in Scranton, PA she loves nothing more than her city’s art, culture & the people who occupy it. She grew up watching her parents run a very successful business, which led to her interest in business management. While attending school , she worked her way up at Nina’s Wings to become General Manager of their then 3 restaurants. With her always energetic ambition, she left her comfort zone and became General Manager of Zummo’s Café. Zummo’s allows her to see more of the things she loves about Scranton and has opened the door to so many amazing opportunities. She strives on being the best at what she’s doing, to never settle and to keep trying to better the lives of others. She looks at her Boss Ladies and all ladies as her inspiration.

Kaitlin McDonough

Born and raised in Scranton, Kaitlin is thrilled to be a Boss Lady, bringing creative, driven, and like-minded ladies together to support one another. After spending 2 years in law school in Michigan, she moved back to the area and worked at a law firm and promotional products company. Still searching for something more fulfilling, her childhood hobby of arts and crafts developed into an adult passion for creating unique gifts for family and friends. After much encouragement, in 2013 Kaitlin began K Taylor Made, specializing in monogramming and personalizing giftware.

Samantha is the founder and creative director for Shanty Town Design. She spends much of her day discussing clients' brand and web strategies, directing and creating with team members to achieve design goals, and brainstorming business opportunities. She enjoys gardening, astrology, traveling, exploring everything strange & unusual, and spending time with her small pack of dogs.
