We understand that the most time-consuming part of building a website is deciding what content to include. It can be especially difficult to gather this information when you don’t have a clear idea of what the website will look like. To make the process of selecting elements and gathering content easier, we utilize a website comment plugin. This allows you to select elements of the website template, comment on the information you want to be included, and submit it to us for styling and integration. Once all the content is submitted, we’ll get to work on customizing your website to your brand.
Do I need hosting, a domain, & email?

Absolutely.
Since the turnaround is so fast, you must have your hosting, domain, and email situated by the time you are ready to submit your content.
If you are still choosing a hosting company or don’t know where to start, our recommendation is to host with us or directlry with WP Engine. View our Website Care Package details and let us know if you’d like to host your site with Shanty Town.
If you’d like to set up your own hosting account, our second recommendation is FastComet. For a single site, go with their FastCloud plan. For multiple sites, go for FastCloud Plus.
We prefer Google Workspace for branded emails that sync with the entire Google Admin system. You can purchase your domain through Google Workspace as well. If you will not be using Google, we recommend NameCheap for domain names.
Do I have to use all of the pages or elements on a template?

WordPress Template Policies
- Content: All text-based content must be provided in full before we start customizing your website to your brand and needs.
- Hosting: Your hosting and domain information must be ready at the start of the project to avoid delays.
- Revisions: There is a maximum of three consolidated email revisions to streamline the process.
- Images: You may want to consider Unsplash for free stock imagery. We also use Adobe Stock at a cost of $4 per photo, billed at the end of the project.
- Add-Ons: If there is something you’d like to add to the site that is not already built into the template, add-ons are available at our hourly rate.
